Dora Galit

Dora Galit is a talented pianist and pedagogue driven by a personal mission to unite people through music. She has received praise for her production of rich tones and colors, as well as her musical interpretations at the piano. Dora performs in concert halls and salons across the United States, featuring composers such as Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Brahms, Shostakovich, and many others, aiming to promote peace and joy to all who listen.

 

With over a decade of experience teaching music, she currently teaches a full studio in NYC. Dora has previously taught in Miami at SharpMinds Music Academy, a Yamaha school, Miami Conservatory of Music, and Miami Dade College. She has worked as an adjunct lecturer at Queens College and was part of The Laurence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies faculty. After receiving a generous scholarship, Dora completed her doctoral degree at the Frost School of Music with Kevin Kenner, having previously earned an Artist Diploma in the spring of 2020 with Professor Kenner as well. In addition to her research and keyboard studies, she is also focusing on a specialty in music management to promote other exceptional artists and their work.

 

Dora earned her Master of Music under the guidance of renowned Russian teacher Nina Lelchuk (1936–2022) at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College.
