Andrea Longato is a NYC-based session guitar player and educator. He has performed and recorded with some of the finest artists in the U.S. and abroad, including Jeremy Jordan, Debora Cox, Alphonso Ribeiro, Janita, Duncan Sheik, Cady Hoffman (Tony award winner), Kaissa, Tony Vincent (“The Voice”), Justin Guarini (“American Idol”), Brooke Moriber (original cast on “Les Miserables”), Quincy Mumford, Ron Pope, Vanessa Bley (EMI Records) and Matt Doyle (“The Book of Mormon”).
He also works extensively in the Broadway / Off-Broadway circuit, and some of the music that he recorded were featured on major television networks like Disney Channel and Lifetime. On top of being an in-demand performer, he is also an established and dedicated educator, counting more than 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels at some of the most prestigious music schools in New York and Europe.
As the main guitar teacher at Intersection Music and Arts, his goal is to keep his students engaged and passionate about music. Structure in learning is as important as helping the kids pursue their individual aspirations. Andrea provides personalized lesson plans that are tailored to the student’s needs, choosing material from the most sought-after guitar methods and combining it with each kid’s songs of choice. In addition to his work at Intersection Music and Arts, Andrea is also faculty member and curriculum coordinator at The Collective School of Music (Manhattan) and adjunct faculty at Third Street Music School (Manhattan).
